There is more to this Christian life than what we have been told. Jesus came to set the captives free, but what does that mean? Are we captives? How are we set free? Free from what? This is my journey from where religion left me to where I found freedom—true freedom—in the name of Jesus. You can find that freedom, too. No more bondage, no more depression, anxiety, rage, or fear. After listening to a podcast one evening, a pastor began teaching on Scripture about Jesus’s sacrifice and what it means for us. Her church had never taught this. The search for God’s truth through Scripture and prayer led to a freedom that she did not know was possible. True freedom!
